I've specialized in animal painting and drawing for over 40 years. It's actually not as difficult as it might seem (I'd avoid the early hours when hundreds of mothers with kids in strollers taker over the place). You can draw an animal when it's resting, of course. It's also a little known fact that when an animal is pacing in a cage it usually returns to the same position over and over again. some are easier to draw than others, obviously, depending on distance and size.
