Starting with a dozen 1-minute gesture poses and building from 5-minute to 10, 15 and 20 minute poses, it was a fun and fast paced evening. Creative camaraderie enhanced the evening.

Drawign two models at a time is an interesting experience. The poses were unique and it was cool drawing the interaction. The night consisted of a series of 1 min, 2 min and 30 second poses. Followed by 4-5 12 min. poses and a 30+ min pose. The models were going to do more, but most of the group had to leave after 10 pm, so the session ended.

A great session. Ideal working conditions with plenty of benches, good lighting in the work area and on the model. The space is a great loft that is warm and comfortable for both model and artists.

Good bunch of people and a great model. Problem is, the "Gently Instructed" part never happened, as the instructor was in California. I think I'll go back, but I'll definitely make sure he's going to be there next time. $15 is pretty hefty for an unguided session.

Excellent!!! My first time and I really enjoyed the atmosphere, the models, the music, and the wine. Great artists were there who inspired one another to draw.

Probably my favorite session of Dr. Sketchy's yet (and I've been to dozens). The Shanghai Pearl put enormous effort into each costume and pose and was phenomenal to draw. If that weren't enough, Twisted Monk added some awesome flair to the evening's session tying Pearl into various states of (mock) distress and adding himself to the poses. Both worked very hard to give everyone something fun to draw that they may have never seen before. Ernie Von Schmaltz returned to the mic and did a great job as well. It was good to have him back. One final thing to note was the quick addition of a small key light to the front of the stage when light from the windows became too weak. This small item cannot be overstated as a HUGE help to the people drawing. Pearl and Monk were doing awesome things on stage, so adding some (dramatic) lighting lets the crowd actually see it! A nice key light on the model should be a permanent addition to the Julia's stage.
