Introduction
I went to art school in NY and concentrated in woodblock printmaking and my subject matter is based on the figure, but I did very little fig drawing in class. I have been a figure model for more hours than I have drawn the figure....go figure
What are your passions?
Food! Fiber art. I spin, knit sew, whatever. I like to do things that are utterly tactile and visceral. I love travel but have done little of it.
What types of art materials/mediums do you like to work with?
Fiber, woodblock, ink and paper. I like to sculpt things out of plastic clays.
What is your figure drawing experience and what would you like from a figure drawing meetup?
Very little maybe 20 hours of it in college, as I mentioned I was a figure model more than I was an artist. So I've been on the other side.
Do you have a current art project? Idea? Do you need help with it?
I need support because I want to keep printing and it's frustrating not to have a studio or press. I work larger scale. I'm not good at tool sharpening for one thing, and the killer part is I live two blocks from pratt, but can't afford it.
Besides Figure Drawing - What Hobbies/Interests do you have?
Cooking, baking, I like trying new wine and beer from homebrews or microbrews. Spinning, singing, working with children.
